Our billing cycle for September to June enrolment starts in March of the previous school year and runs to the following February. Any applicable discounts will be applied to the tuition portion. Health Insurance and Tuition Refund Plan charges will be itemized on the August statement. All other miscellaneous charges will be itemized as incurred.
Is the monthly statement a receipt or a bill?
The monthly statement is a receipt and a bill. It reflects all payments that our parents have made so that they can use it as a document to apply for or renew their child’s student permit and/or visa. This statement shows a summary of charges from the Bookstore and the Hilltop Shop (our school uniform store), and the detail of all other school charges.
What types of charges are reflected on the student billing account?
These charges include but are not limited to:
- Annual tuition fees & discounts
- One time enrolment fees
- Field trip charges

How can I receive detailed statements from the Bookstore and the Hilltop Shop?
When a new student arrives in August/September and purchases items, a paper copy of the bill is issued upon checkout. From time to time, when the student purchases items from either store, they are given a detailed copy of their purchase. The Business Office can scan and email copies of the detailed statements to our parents upon request.
How can I receive the detailed statements related to Health Centre charges?
When will families receive the first statement and what can they expect to see on their first statement?
The school normally issues the first statement for the new school year in April, right after the billing cycle starts. These statements are issued to all our parents, including existing and new families as long as they register before the end of February of each year.
If new families register for a partial school year (after the school year is under way), the first statement will be issued once the Business Office receives the signed contract and the first deposit. This statement will include all charges and payments that have been made as of that date.
If new families register early for the next school year (to secure a guaranteed spot), the first statement will be issued once the Business Office receives the signed contract and first deposit. This will only include the payments that have been made as of that date. The tuition related charges will then fall into the school’s yearly billing cycle.
When are field trip & other miscellaneous charges billed to the account?
How do I read the monthly statement?
There are several major components to the statement:
Statement date reflects the date when the statement is issued, but only reflects the transactions up to the end of the month prior to the statement date.
Record ID is the student’s ID. It is also the account number if you decide to pay for the bill through online banking, credit card, or international money transfer.
Student Grade that appears on each student’s statement represents their grade for the current school year. Parents of newly enrolled students should note that statements issued before July 1st will show their child’s grade level as one year less than the enrolled grade. This is automatically updated by our system on July 1st.
Amount Due is the outstanding balance as of the end of the previous month, and reflects the amount which is currently due.
Date is the transaction date.
Type includes payment, credit and charge.
- Payment is the amount of money that the school received since the previous statement, it will appear in brackets;
- Credit is a discounted item or adjustment, which reduces the balance owing, it also appears in brackets;
- Charge is the school tuition fees and ongoing activities owed to the school.
Reference is the explanation of each transaction.
Balance is the accumulated amount after each transaction.
Information at the bottom of the statement reflects outstanding balances as “current” or “overdue”. Note that accounts are due at the end of the month in which the statements are issued.
How does the PC allowance program work?
Boarding parents can set up an allowance account for their children in three ways:
- Email (preferred method)
- In-person
- Over the phone
Upon parent’s approval, a weekly allowance will be set for the child (suggested $50 - $70/week). The Business Office will transfer an approved amount (normally $1,000) into the allowance account to cover the weekly allowance.
On occasion, a student may require additional money for the week; the Business Office will seek parental approval for those requests. Parents may adjust the weekly allowance on an ongoing basis, and are free to add to the allowance account at any time.
When the allowance account appears to need a top-up, the Business Office will contact the parents to see if they wish to transfer additional money to the allowance account.
Is there any late/interest on overdue accounts?
Should we come to meet the Business Office staff on Registration Day?
