Grade 3 students'  "Flat Stanleys" travel far and wide

As part of the Grade 3 integrated Language Arts and Social Studies program, students created flat versions of themselves, modelled after "Flat Stanley" from the book by Jeff Brown of the same name. Students sent their 'Flat Stanley' to a friend or family member who lives in a different community than they do. Students asked their host to take pictures and let them know of the exciting adventures that 'Flat Stanley' had while he or she was there. Students then prepared a report on the travels of their 'Flat Stanley', including interesting information about the community visited and created a poster board to share with the class. Students presented their 'Flat Stanley' advertures with the Junior School during Morning Meeting on April 21st and 22nd.
