Boarding Parents meet with Headmaster Peter Sturrup as students meet their PC families

After the Welcome BBQ Tuesday September 7th, boarding parents had the opportunity to visit with the Headmaster and school administrators at the Headmaster's Dessert Reception. Parents were treated to delicious desserts prepared by Food Services while mingling with other parents from around the world. School staff present were able to answer questions about school life at Pickering College and about the Newmarket area. We hope this event provided our international families with a sense of the Pickering community and we look forward to seeing you all on campus again soon!

While parents enjoyed an evening at the Headmaster's home, boarding students and staff hit South field for some fun! The Associate Faculty lead their families through a variety of icebreaker games and inter-family competitions. These activities brought students together to compete, laugh and form new friendships with students from around the world......I am told that Mr. Wilson is quite confident that the Wilson family will be victorious at this year's Residence Games! Good luck to all - make the most of the 2010-2011 school year!
