Grade 9 students create data surveys

In early March, the Grade 9 math classes got together to create their own data surveys on topics of their choice.  Students measured a variety of variables including height compared to finger size and arm length compared to leg length.  Once their data was collected they used their graphing calculators to create graphs and lines of best fit.  They then determined if their variables were related based on their graph. It was a very successful and practical math class!
