“Adopt an ESL Student” August 21 – September 6, 2010
As you know, Pickering College welcomes students from over 10 countries in our ESL Summer Camp program each year. This year our program finishes on August 21st and we have some of these students continuing the school year at Pickering College commencing on September 6th; during these final two weeks of summer they won’t have time to travel home to be with their families.
We are looking for local Pickering College families who would be interested in hosting an ESL student during these two weeks and allowing them to experience true “Canadian” home life. Not only would your generosity be appreciated by our students who are away from their own families for much of the year, but we believe it would also create a wonderful opportunity for your own child (children) to come to know some of our international students better.
