Boarding Life Committee
The Boarding Life Committee consists of a Head Proctor from each residence, each of whom has been elected by their peers; along with five to seven Proctors, each of whom have been appointed by a committee through an application and interview process.
In brief, the goals of the Boarding Life Committee include:
- to promote moral development, leadership and responsible self-direction on the part of all community members
- to contribute to a living and learning environment that supports and encourages intellectual growth
- to create the conditions for social and spiritual growth through cooperative and fun campus activities or relatedly, community service based interactions.
Proctors are senior boarding students appointed to assist with supervison of the residences. Proctors are responsible for the good order of the residences at all time and provide an important role model for younger students. As a result of their contributions, Proctors are eligible for single accommodations, when available, earn school service hours, and may receive sign-out privileges during one night a week.
