Each boarding family is comprised of students of all grades and various cultural backgrounds, along with an Associate Faculty Member (family head), a Proctor and boarding staff members. The boarding family proactively supports each student’s general well-being and academic achievements.
Family members help plan outings, activities, games, and celebrate birthdays, holidays and other milestones. Students gain increased confidence in their ability to live independently and can more easily transition to residence life in university.
Students in boarding benefit from supervised study periods throughout most of the week, with faculty members available in boarding to answer questions and to ensure all students are focused and productive. Living on campus also allows students to develop self-confidence and offers them greater opportunities for community service and leadership.
