Blue & Silver Farm
Blue & Silver Farm, in Whitchurch-Stouffville, is an agricultural and outdoor education facility for Pickering College. It is approximately 75 acres in total.
The farm provides a space for the Pickering College community to gather together, learn from the land, and give back to the community. With forest trails, camping platforms, various gardens, and a newly-renovated farmhouse, it is home to many academic, agricultural, and experiential learning opportunities.
The vision of Blue & Silver Farm is to inspire every member of our community in a shared journey to nurture and regenerate the land using sustainable and technology-based solutions.

Grade 10 students expand their study of Braiding Sweetgrass for Young Adults at Blue & Silver Farm.
Harvest Hub @ Blue & Silver Farm
Enjoy an action-packed week of wilderness exploration, farm-to-table cooking and crafts, and connecting with nature at our new Harvest Hub Camp. Campers from Grade 4 to 8 will be bused from our main campus to our nearby Blue & Silver Farm daily to take part in this innovative outdoor experience.
Delicious, organic snacks and lunch prepared from local food are included. This program includes overnight camping at the farm on the Thursday night of each week where campers will cook over the fire, enjoy a stargazing hike and sleep in canvas tents on wooden platforms.
Remembering Charles Boyd
Blue & Silver Farm was gifted to Pickering College by Charles Boyd in September 2021.
Charles Boyd, who passed away in 2021, left an indelible mark on the lives of thousands of PC students, alumni and staff in his 53 years as a teacher, coach, mentor, advisor, and alumni ambassador.
He upheld the mission and values of Pickering College, with his strength and commitment to making our community greater, better and more beautiful than he discovered it.
Generations of students will continue to be impacted by Charles's legacy through his incredible gift of the Blue & Silver Farm.
