Online Credits | June 27-August 28
Our online credits offer the perfect blend of synchronous and asynchronous activities to keep learners engaged and on track. Weekly synchronous lessons and extra help opportunities allow students to interact with their teacher and check their learning in real time. Independent asynchronous tasks allow students to work at their own pace and organize their time in a way that works with their own summer schedule. All synchronous activities will be recorded and available to any students who are unable to attend a live lesson. This year, we are offering Grade 12 Advanced Functions, Grade 12 Global Leadership: Theory to Action and a selection of ESL credits. Our online credits are a fantastic option for students wishing to work ahead over the summer.
Enrichment Circles | June 29-August 21
Online enrichment circles will offer students in Grades 1-8 the chance to join other learners their age to reconnect with important literacy and/or numeracy skills in preparation for returning to school. Pickering College teachers will meet their students online once a week to review important concepts and introduce new ideas which will give students confidence for the upcoming year. Students will meet their teacher in small groups where they will work together to explore key concepts through interactive tasks and group activities.
Minimum numbers must be reached to run programs.
