Pickering College Boarding Summer Camps

The ESL Summer Camp is designed for students hoping to expand their English language proficiency. 25 hours per week of ESL instruction are included, as is a TOEFL Junior Test at the conclusion of camp. The camp operates two sessions each summer that are 4 weeks in length. There is also a 3-week option during the first session.

Session 1: June 25 - July 21, 2023 - $6,350

Session 2: July 23 - August 18, 2023 - $6,350

3-Week Session: June 30 - July 21, 2023 - $5,450

The Global Leadership Summer Camp is designed for students who are already proficient in English. It provides the same premium activities and excursions as the ESL camp, but replaces the language instruction with leadership development and global competencies, including a Model UN-style conference and a Global Leadership Action Project.

Once the application has been approved, you will receive your letter of acceptance via email within 2-3 weeks. The letter of acceptance can be used to obtain your visitor visa, if required. Enrolment will be on a first come first served basis. Applications will continue to be accepted until the program is full or until 2 weeks before the start of the program.

I ENCLOSE HEREWITH the required deposit of CAD$1,000 and agree to pay the outstanding before June 1, 2023 and any other applicable charges on presentation of account. I concur with the policies under which the summer program is conducted.

I/WE, the student's parent/legal guardian, consent to Pickering College's use of photographs/film footage of the student for lawful promotional purposes in school or other publications, websites and multimedia, should such an opportunity arise.

BY ACCEPTING THIS APPLICATION, Pickering College agrees to provide instruction, board, and accommodation as described. Pickering College reserves the right to require the withdrawal of a pupil at any time and shall have the right to retain the fees in the event of withdrawal whether voluntary or otherwise.

Cancellations and Refunds

If the Canadian Embassy rejects your application for a Tourist Visa for any reason, we will refund your deposit. Copies of documentation from the Embassy will be required. A request to cancel your registration must be made in writing and requires a brief explanation for the withdrawal.

If you wish to cancel for any other reason, a request to cancel your registration must be made in writing and requires a brief explanation for the withdrawal. If a camper withdraws after enrolling, regardless of when the notice is provided, the CAD$1,000 deposit is forfeited and is non-refundable. If a camper withdraws up to two weeks before the start of camp, 50% of the tuition is non-refundable. Within two weeks of the start of camp, 100% of tuition is non-refundable. That is the parents/guardian have financial responsibility for the full tuition.

No refund, reduction of fees or credit will be granted for late arrival, early departure, withdrawal, or dismissal.
