Pickering College is the only JK-Grade 12 school in Canada with a CRTC-licensed radio station, 102.7 CHOP FM
102.7 CHOP FM is a CRTC-licensed, student-operated radio station serving Pickering College and the wider Newmarket community.
Broadcasting from New House on the Pickering College campus, this fully functioning radio station provides a range of community-based programming including a live morning show, sports updates, and feature programs — all produced by Pickering College students.
The radio station is one of Pickering College's unique features, giving students the opportunity to become on-air hosts, producers, editors, and interviewers, as they help manage the station’s day-to-day operations.
The school has also developed a communications technology course on Radio and Audio Production, which is unique to Pickering College.
For any musicians looking to submit music files, we ask that you provide a download link for these files such as Dropbox, Google, etc., to chopfm@pickeringcollege.on.ca.
