Holiday Concerts mark first performance series in West Lake House
The Pickering College community was treated to three festive holiday concerts last week, highlighting our musicians from the Kindergarten to Grade 12.
The first concert featured choirs from Kindergarten to Grade 2. They sang songs such as "North Pole Rock 'n Roll", "Gonna Catch that Santa" and "Feliz Navidad".

The second concert included students from Grade 3 to Grade 8. The youngest students performed in the Junior Choir with songs like "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch." Grade 5 students, who just started learning their instruments a couple months ago, showed off their skills in the Beginner Band.
In Middle School, students were featured in the Grade 6, 7, and 8 Bands, the Grade 6 Choir and the Junior Jazz Band. Numbers included "Jurassic Park", "White Christmas", and "Holly Jolly Christmas."

The final concert featured students from Grade 9 to Grade 12 in the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Intermediate and Senior Jazz Bands, and the Senior Choir. They performed pieces such as "Christmas Swings", "Golden", "Linus and Lucy" and "Mary Did You Know" among others.

These performances were extra special as it marked our first concert series in West Lake House, our brand new academic building. Thank you to everyone, especially our talented music faculty, who brought these concerts to life.
