We are currently recruiting a full-time maternity leave replacement Charge Nurse for the Health Centre. The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse, with previous nursing experience in a school, camp or instructional environment. The incumbent will be part of a team of nurses who oversee the Health Centre day-to-day activities as well as respond to emergencies as needed, and provide on call coverage. The environment is fast paced and requires an individual who is capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing while maintaining an excellent rapport with all constituents.
Major responsibilities include administration of medication and vaccines, monitoring and assessing needs of students and staff, scheduling outside appointments as required, developing care plans to support student recovery from illness or injury, communicating with parents and caregivers, and administrative functions within the Health Centre (appointment booking and follow ups etc.). This is a stand-alone role responsible for the day-to-day operations within the Health Centre interacting with staff, students and parents. This role supervises the part-time registered nursing staff. The Charge Nurse reports to the Executive Director of Boarding and Health Services. Of note, vacation time is observed at specified times during the school year.
Your qualifications will include:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario - Registered Nurse.
- Previous Nursing experience in a similar environment is an asset.

Content Marketing Coordinator
Pickering College is seeking a creative, self-directed Content Marketing Coordinator to support the school’s enrolment, reputation, and community engagement goals through compelling, video-first storytelling.
Working within a collaborative three-person Communications team, this role is primarily responsible for planning, capturing, and producing high-quality video and visual content that brings the Pickering College experience to life across digital platforms. The successful candidate will work on campus daily, capturing authentic moments, student experiences, classroom learning, and community life, and translating them into engaging content for social media, the website, email, and digital campaigns.
This role is ideal for an early-career, video-centric content creator who is confident behind the camera, comfortable directing shoots in real-world environments, and motivated to grow their skills across content strategy, SEO, analytics, and campaign execution within an independent school setting.
Key Responsibilities
Video Production & Multimedia Storytelling (Primary Focus)
- Plan, shoot, and edit short-form and long-form video content for social media (Reels, Stories, Shorts), the website, email marketing, and enrolment campaigns.
- Capture on-campus life, including classroom activities, events, athletics, performances, student leadership, and community moments, with a strong storytelling and brand lens.
- Produce timely, platform-appropriate video content to support campaigns, admissions priorities, and real-time engagement.

Content Development & Roving Reporter

Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.

Development Officer, Stewardship and Annual Fund

The Development Officer, Stewardship and Annual Fund plays a key role in strengthening Pickering College’s culture of philanthropy by ensuring that all donors are meaningfully engaged, appreciated, and inspired by the impact of their support. Reporting to the Executive Director, Development, this position is responsible for the strategy and execution of the Annual Fund, all stewardship activities, and support for donor cultivation and recognition. The Development Officer ensures that senior staff, including the Head of School and Executive Director, Development, are well supported in managing their donor portfolios, with timely preparation, follow-up, and coordination of all stewardship and solicitation activities.
This role also serves as the central coordinating hub for the fundraising team, supporting workflow, accountability, and collaboration across Development priorities. Working closely with the Database Administrator, the Development Officer ensures donor data and reporting are accurate, timely, and strategically applied.
Given the dynamic and collaborative nature of our school environment, this role is on-site, five days a week with some evening or weekend work as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Donor Stewardship and Recognition:
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive stewardship program, ensuring every donor receives timely, meaningful acknowledgment and reporting.
- Create and manage a stewardship calendar to guide donor recognition, thank-you letters, and impact updates.
- In collaboration with Engagement Staff, coordinate stewardship and cultivation events, including donor receptions and other relationship-building opportunities.

Portfolio and Relationship Management:

Human Resources Coordinator (Part-Time)
Pickering College is an independent School located in Newmarket, Ontario offering students from JK to Grade 12 exceptional and meaningful experiential and innovative learning opportunities in our day and boarding program. Our students engage in a robust co-curricular program and learn to lead a balanced and purposeful life; they explore and develop their skills and talents beyond the classroom.
The Human Resources Department is fundamental to supporting employee programs, health & well-being, and building a sense of community throughout our School. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resource (HR) Coordinator ensures the efficient operation of daily HR tasks, employee support, generalist HR functions and processes. This is a part time, permanent position that includes benefits (25 hours per week)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Human Resources Director to perform daily HR administration, generating reports and data analytics within our HRIS system and other employee tracking systems.
- Assist with administrative functions, including employee onboarding and offboarding processes, preparing HR documents, and handling correspondence.
- Support compliance with labor laws and company policies, including tracking employee professional development, vulnerable sector screening, certifications and training requirements.
- Assist with training program development and manage electronic HR Training Platform through Citation Canada.
- Organize and execute employee engagement initiatives and events as required.
- Distribute policies, procedures, memos and other HR communications across all levels of the organization. Conduct annual policy review and ensure HR Policies are up to date.
- Assist with special HR projects and initiatives as needed.

Recruitment and Onboarding
- Assist with the full cycle recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications, etc.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring all required new hire documentation is completed.
- Track faculty unpaid student placements, co-op students, and new hire system access across the school.
- Maintaining the new hire swag program, ordering name tags, and assigning house colours.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and prepare cyclical employee correspondence.
- Support auxiliary programs and boarding services in camp recruitment, onboarding and offboarding during the summer.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as the Business Office, Faculty, Information Technology, Boarding and the Hilltop Store to support employee programs.
- Network with post-secondary institutions to maintain talent pipeline, schedule and attend relevant academic and general career fairs alongside the HR Director.
- Maintain the development and procurement of PC career branding promotional materials.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, conduct phone screens and other duties as assigned.
Employee Program Administration
- Ensure employee records are kept up to date
- Compliance in vulnerable sector screening, training completion, annual policy review, driver’s abstracts, vehicle information, permission click forms and coordinating with the business to provide cheque requisitions on reimbursement.
- Maintain employee recognition programs and support the development of innovative programming for faculty and staff.
- Developing employee surveys to collect various data such as employee engagement surveys, post-event surveys, pulse surveys, etc. Compiling survey data to generate reports on results and analytics of trends.
General HR Administration
- Enter new hires, leaves of absences, terminations and other employee transactions in ADP as required.
- Maintain employee benefit entries and support benefit renewal process.
- Track employee change requests and support inquiries on a daily basis.
- Prepare WSIB paperwork and incident online reporting to manage workplace injuries and/or illnesses.
- Support the Accreditation Process with CAIS Canada
- Support employee reports with internal external stakeholders such as CAIS, CIS, Advancement, etc.
- Administer the employee assistance program and answer daily employee inquiries.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Completion of a Post-Secondary Diploma/University Degree in Human Resources or related field of study.
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR Administrative role or similar position.
- CHRP designation and member of the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA) in good standing is an asset.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is strongly preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication, strategic, organizational and problem-solving skills.

The facilities supervisor is responsible for managing the daily maintenance, cleanliness, safety and security of the campus buildings and grounds, which includes supervising staff and ensuring compliance with regulations. They oversee repairs, cleaning schedules, and groundskeeping, and may also manage facility bookings and equipment maintenance. The role is a key part of maintaining a safe and functional environment for students, staff, and visitors.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure clear communication across shifts and within shift team.
- Designated as “Custodian on Duty” and responsible for the shift phone.
- Perform leadership role in the event of Emergency situation per Risk Management procedures.
- Ensure that the team has cleaned and maintained their designated area of school.
- Oversee work conducted on the shift and ensure that school policies and procedures are followed.
- Provide feedback to employees on performance and deliver performance reviews.
- Complete all tasks with minimal supervision and within timelines.
- Exercise tact, diplomacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Gain knowledge of the school’s Mission Statement and support the Guiding Principles.
BASIC DUTIES:
- Meet daily with the Manager of Facilities (or outgoing/oncoming shift Team Leader) to discuss maintenance requirements and ensure they are carried out in a timely manner.
- Check Facilities email account and facilities calendar and distribute information appropriately.
- Meet regularly with the team and Manager of Facilities.
- Set-up or tear-down of functions/facilities when required.
- Deliver job specific training to all new employees
- Assist the Manager/Director with the scheduling and coordination of “heavy cleaning” ie. March Break, Summer and Christmas shutdowns
- Plan, oversee and participate in heavy cleanings that take place during school closures.
- Clean areas that are not designated to team and fill in when required
- During the winter months, ensure that snow and ice are removed from all walkways
- Provide input to Director/Manager of employee performance and/or concerns
- Be familiar with the basic operation of all mechanical, alarm and monitoring systems.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the team
- Develop and document cleaning standards and expectations
- Develop and document department policies and procedures

Security

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend breakfast on a rotational schedule to monitor students and check residences to ensure that students are up and ready for the day.
- Work on a rotational basis to cover the residences in the evenings, overnight and weekends (including long weekends).
- Provide on call coverage to the residences.
- Live in the residence.
- Meal coverage for breakfast and dinner.

- Act as a “Family Head” for a smaller group of students within the residence.

Pickering College is an independent day and boarding school with grades Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12, located in Newmarket, Ontario since 1909, founded in 1842. As a member of the Information Technology Department, under the direction of the Executive Director IT, the Database Administrator ensures that the business data is captured, stored, organized, maintained and accessible to all faculty and operational staff to carry out their day-to-day business operations and students to learn effectively.
This role is a full-time, one-year contract covering a maternity leave. It has a 35 hours/week schedule during regular business hours. There may be a need to available after hours to attend critical and/or planned tasks as required.
Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for smooth operation and integration of the organization wide database systems.
- Maintaining the integrity, completeness, accuracy and security of data and troubleshooting any data issues.
- Support Junior/Middle/Senior schools’ operations associated with setting up course selection and scheduling, entering schedules / timetabling into SIS, conducting beginning and end of school-year processes, and developing report cards.
- Developing and applying appropriate processes to the database operation and ensuring that the data is readily available to all users.
- Assist in the organization wide analysis of data needs, recording the data needs, and executing appropriate configuration to ensure that the organization wide data requirements are met.
- Assist in identifying new business systems, developing business processes and migration of data from the existing systems to new systems.
- In conjunction with vendors, be responsible for testing, troubleshooting and implementing modern data systems.
- Conduct data analysis with the goal of discovering useful information, suggesting changes and supporting an evidence-based decision-making culture.
- Coordinate, train, support and troubleshoot all users in use of the database functions and data analytics.

Qualifications and skills required:

HSDC Counsellors are responsible for supervising, supporting, and engaging campers in a safe, inclusive, and positive camp environment. The HSDC STEM & Robotics Specialist is responsible for planning and delivering engaging, hands-on STEM and robotics programming for Hilltop Summer Discovery Camp. This role requires strong STEM knowledge, creativity, and adaptability, with the ability to lead activities in robotics, coding, engineering challenges, and digital design. Specialists guide campers of all ages through fun, inquiry-based learning experiences that build problem-solving skills, curiosity, and confidence.
In addition to their primary STEM responsibilities, the Specialist contributes to broader camp operations, including cabin group support and participation in general camp activities.
Responsibilities
Program Planning & Delivery
- Collaborate with the HSDC Director and Assistant Director to plan, prepare, and deliver STEM-focused programming.
