Support Pickering College
Light The Way ... in support of the Pickering College capital campaign and the construction of our exciting new building, The Centre for Creativity and Innovation.
Education rooted in bold innovation
Since its founding in 1842, Pickering College has prided itself on looking for the light in every child, preparing generations of learners and leaders to embrace the future, and boldly move forward with the knowledge and skills to ask tough questions and to find solutions.
Teaching and learning need to continue to evolve and adapt in our changing world. Pickering College has responded to this challenge by developing the Global Leadership Program, focused on providing a 21st century education that has a significant impact on our students while receiving accolades from educators across North America. Now, as ever, Pickering College builds global leaders who are agents of courageous, ethical and positive change. As teaching and learning progress, so must our facilities.
A vision that benefits the whole community
Having already completed a successful expansion and renovation of the Harry M. Beer Dining Hall, we are moving on to the next stage and cornerstone of the Campus Master Plan improvements: the Centre for Creativity and Innovation. The Centre will house 21st century classroom space for subjects like robotics, mathematics, science, information technology and the Global Leadership Program; an innovative arts teaching wing designed to foster excellence in music, visual arts, drama and film; and leading-edge classrooms. A new theatre/auditorium, our CRTC-licensed radio station and a green roof common space will round out this innovative building, creating a place that will make learning joyful and benefit our entire community.
We are thoughtfully preparing a well-built campus for well-rounded students.
It is time for this change. It is time to Light The Way.
The Light The Way capital campaign supports the Pickering College Campus Master Plan and the improvements to the education and experiences we are able to offer students. We hope you will be inspired to join the many parents, alumni, alumni parents and friends of the school who have already supported this campaign.
The Light The Way capital campaign makes it even more clear how truly powerful our PC spirit is in achieving our community's goals. The Campus Master Plan and the Light The Way capital campaign are two of the most important initiatives ever undertaken by the school, and the most ambitious project undertaken since the building of Rogers House. Your gift will have a lasting impact on this generation and for generations to come. Please join us and help Light The Way.
