Location and Campus
Pickering College is located 30 minutes (45 kms) north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada in the town of Newmarket, and is a 40 minute drive from Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.
The Town of Newmarket has a population of 87,000 and includes amenities such as sports complexes, a state-of-the-art regional hospital and cancer centre, movie theatres, shopping malls, library, theatres, public transportation, restaurants, places of worship and parks.
Pickering College is located on a beautiful 42-acre campus in the heart of the town. Our majestic buildings speak to the history and tradition of Pickering College, and with regular investments and upgrades, continue to provide leading edge learning space for our students.
Our classrooms are outfitted with SMART Boards, educational software and wireless technology so that every student benefits from the innovation that technology brings to teaching. Arts facilities include new audio, visual and music labs, as well as a fully-functional, CRTC-licensed radio station and recording studio (102.7 CHOP FM).
Ample recreation space includes: four playing fields; a baseball diamond; a rubberized surface track; a fully-equipped athletic complex; and an indoor skating arena.
Offsite, Blue & Silver Farm is home to our Outdoor Education Program. In addition, Pickering College students train at WaterStone Estate and Farms for our Equestrian Program.
