West Lake House

Education rooted in bold innovation

Since its founding in 1842, Pickering College has prided itself on looking for the light in every child, preparing generations of learners and leaders to embrace the future, and boldly move forward with the knowledge and skills to ask tough questions and to find solutions.

Teaching and learning need to continue to evolve and adapt in our changing world. Pickering College has responded to this challenge by developing the Global Leadership Program, focused on providing a 21st century education that has a significant impact on our students while receiving accolades from educators across North America. Now, as ever, Pickering College builds global leaders who are agents of courageous, ethical and positive change. As teaching and learning progress, so must our facilities.

This is an important milestone in the school’s history. We are creating an environment that supports our unique approach to teaching and learning. This will be an environment where we can inspire and equip our students by delivering a challenging and engaging program that reflects the continuous pursuit of academic excellence and one that nurtures and develops leadership, creativity and social responsibility.

A vision that benefits the whole community

West Lake House is intended to create a space that will foster the skills embedded in our Global Leadership Program and that will support our anticipated program growth and academic priorities.

This is a significant addition to our classroom and community space. We look forward to not only welcoming students and staff to West Lake house but having parents, alumni, and the broader community join us for special events.
