Located on the second floor of Rogers House, the Learning Commons at Pickering College belongs to and serves the entire school community. It is an academic resource centre supporting the classroom and individual pursuits of students and teachers. Resources include an indexed automated catalogue, a computer resource centre, online subscription databases, vertical files, periodicals, videos, and DVDs.
The Learning Commons is open during the school day. Assistance is provided by the Librarian on duty. There are Learning Commons orientation sessions and research skills presentations for classes.
The Arthur Garrett Dorland Friends Historical Research Collection
A special collection located in our Learning Commons, is part of the Canadian Yearly Meeting Archives housed at Pickering College. This special Canadian Quaker collection is available by appointment with the archivist for research by students, visiting researchers, and scholars.
